Description of the wine Gewurztraminer Gueberschwihr 1998
Located just under the village of Gueberschwihr, those vines are amongst the oldest on the Domaine. The clay silicium soil produces a wine in between a calcareous and gravelly soil. Relatively aromatic on the nose, it shows more weight and richness on the palate. Classic spicy, long lasting flavours.
Tasting notes
12/2001 : It is showing strong rose/spicy flavours associated to a relatively austere, mineral palate, showing a powerful finish. It is rare to produce dry gewürztraminer like this, but it will certainly please the amateurs of really spicy food.
