Description of the wine Pinot Gris Herrenweg de Turckheim 1998
All the character of the Herrenweg is present in this wine: intense fruit, imposing body and length with lot of freshness and youth. It is the longest fermenting wine of all the 98s (until January 2000). Its initial ripeness didn’t allow the wine to finish completely dry, but the residual sweetness is well hidden in this wine.
The Herrenweg of Turckheim
The wines from Herrenweg of Turckheim are always very aromatic, advanced in their development and are always defined by a very ripe acidity and opulent fruit. The wines from Herrenweg are accessible and generous in their youth and although they are often best enjoyed at this stage can surprise 10 or even 20 years later.
