Description of the wine Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal 1996 - Sélection de Grains Nobles
This wine comes from a selection of the most botrytised berries of the Clos Jebsal in Turckheim. This wine is a concentration in style of the 96 vintage: strong acidity and high ripeness. Fermenting very slowly made it keep a lot of residual sugar; well balanced by the acidity. It will be a slow developing wine, where the mineral character of the Jebsal will take a long time to reach its apogee.
The Clos Jebsal of Turckheim
The wines from Clos Jebsal are discreet in their youth, often marked with flinty or smoky aromas. The expression of fruit linked to the concentration by botrytis is coaxed out with some time in bottle
